Insurance & superbills

I don’t bill insurance directly. I can provide an out‑of‑network superbill on request, which you may submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement — it’s worth checking your out‑of‑network mental health benefits.

Private pay also keeps your care between us — no insurance company deciding what counts.

If cost is a barrier

A few things can make private‑pay care more workable: many clients put HSA/FSA funds or CareCredit toward sessions, and I can provide out‑of‑network superbills you may submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement.

If therapy still isn’t within reach right now, these funds offer financial assistance toward mental health care that you’re welcome to explore:

These are independent organizations; eligibility is set by them, not by Dose of Soul Therapy.

Good to know

Questions people often ask

What are your rates?

Individual sessions are $170, couples are $190, and the initial intake is $195. Sessions are 50 minutes.

Do you take insurance?

No — Dose of Soul Therapy is private pay. I can provide out‑of‑network superbills on request for possible reimbursement.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, check, Zelle, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, HSA/FSA, and CareCredit. Payment is due at the time of service.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

Not at this time. If cost is a barrier, HSA/FSA, CareCredit, and out‑of‑network superbills can make sessions more workable, and the funding resources above may offer financial assistance.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead to avoid the full fee. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged the full session fee, as outlined in your intake paperwork.

How often will we meet?

Most people begin weekly — consistency keeps therapy restorative rather than reactive. As things steady, we adjust to fit your goals.

Do you work with children?

I work with clients ages 16 and older. For a younger child, I’m glad to point you toward good referrals.

In person or online?

Both in Arizona — in person in Chandler or online statewide. In Texas, sessions are online only. See Arizona and Texas.

Where are you licensed?

Arizona (LPC‑24799) and Texas (102566). You’ll need to be physically located in one of those states at session time.

How do we start?

Reach out for a short consultation through SimplePractice. We’ll talk through what’s bringing you in and whether we’re a good fit — no pressure to commit.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes. Therapy is confidential, with limited legal exceptions (such as imminent risk of harm) that I’ll explain clearly at the start.

Your right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the federal No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost. You’ll receive one before beginning, and you can request one anytime. Learn more at cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1‑800‑985‑3059.
