Grounded, culturally responsive therapy for adults in Arizona and Texas — for grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, and the relationship patterns that keep repeating. In‑person in Chandler and online across both states.

Care doesn’t require a crisis. You don’t have to be falling apart to deserve support — sometimes the hardest part is being the person everyone else leans on. Therapy here is a place to set that weight down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and feel more like yourself again — at your own pace.
Does any of this sound familiar?
Most people I work with look fine on the outside. Underneath, it’s a different story. You might recognize yourself here:
What we can work on together
Specialized, one‑to‑one support — plus couples work — shaped around your life, not a template.
For loss that’s recent or long‑held, complicated, or hard to put into words — including the grief you’ve had to keep functioning through.
Learn more →For high‑functioning anxiety, low moods masked by productivity, and that ‘going through the motions’ feeling that won’t lift.
Learn more →Trauma‑informed care, drawing on EMDR, for the experiences your mind keeps replaying — even ones that were minimized or normalized.
Learn more →For partners stuck in the same argument, and for individuals working through disconnection, boundaries, and patterns that keep returning.
Learn more →Identity‑aware care where you don’t have to explain your background or code‑switch to be understood.
Learn more →For the capable, dependable one who looks like they have it handled — and is privately running on empty.
Learn more →How I work
My approach blends real clinical depth with warmth. I’m trained in EMDR and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and I draw on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), DBT skills, and mindfulness — matched to what you’re carrying rather than forced from a manual.
We move at the pace of your nervous system. No performing ‘okay,’ no rushing, no being reduced to a diagnosis — just real work that actually goes somewhere.
A free 15‑minute consultation to see if we’re a fit — no pressure, no commitment. From there, most clients meet weekly for 50‑minute sessions, in person in Chandler or securely online.
Sessions are private‑pay, which means more privacy and flexibility and no insurance company shaping your care. I can provide out‑of‑network superbills for possible reimbursement.
A softer place to land
Just a willingness to set something down. Reaching out isn’t a sign you’ve fallen apart — it’s a sign you’re paying attention.
Care doesn’t require a crisis.
Wherever you are
Sessions in Chandler and online across the state — Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and the wider East Valley.

Who you’d be working with
I’m a trauma‑informed therapist and the founder of Dose of Soul Therapy. Most of the people I sit with are the steady ones — the planners, the fixers, the ones everyone leans on — who are quietly tired of carrying it all alone.
As a Black therapist, I understand how identity, culture, and the pressure to keep going shape what you carry — so you don’t have to explain your background before you can be understood. My work is to make room for the parts of you that rarely get tended to. Alongside my practice, I serve as Chair of Diversity of the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Board of Arizona.
What we’re working toward
Therapy here isn’t only about getting through. It’s about having enough left over to actually enjoy the life you’ve built — and the people in it.

Tell me a little about what’s going on, and we’ll take the next step together — at your pace, with no pressure to have it all figured out.
